Guinea Pig

The postman brought a pleasant surprise yesterday. Vanessa, queenbee of buzz beekeeping supplies has sent me a pair of cotton wristlet cuffs.  She sent an experimental pair last year for me to test and I found them rather tight, leaving rings on my arms.  These are much better, having a soft, wrist hugging, cuff that will prevent bees crawling up and a gentle elasticated top end to fit just below the elbow without cutting off the blood supply.

They would be a good purchase for anybody who would like a bee-suit but can’t afford one (although Vanessa’s prices are very competitive).  Simply go to a builders’ merchants and get a set of overalls for, maybe, 14 quid and get a pair of these cuffs from Vanessa. Job done!

Check out her website at . You can’t order stuff via the site yet but will be able to do so in a couple of weeks. The site does have her contact details, though, in case you want to order something tailor made.  When I ordered my suit, besides chest size, I also gave her floor to belly button and arm to arm outstretched.  The suit that came fits well. I keep it for best or lending to apprentices.
