Ivy’s now in flower here. I heard it before I saw it. Rose Bay Willowherb has passed its peak. Himalayan Balsam is doing ok but there is less than last year.  I’m just back from a walk which included a visit to Chilfrome Church whence came I laden with banana/walnut cake from their book and produce stall that takes place at the end of each week.  The bees in their roof were flying vigorously.  In the way home I found some ripe blackberries with flowers on the same plant.  I also passed my local Church and saw that the bees were flying from the usual slot in the tower.

I’m also seeing less bees returning with the tell-tale himalayan balsam stripe this year. Ivy out in London too.
